Wengé · Millettia laurentii
This wood is native to Central Africa and is kiln-dried after extended air-drying. Wenge can be so dark it approaches the black of ebony, but the more uniform light stripes make it distinctive.

About this wood
This wood makes excellent veneers and is popular in musical instruments in many parts of the world. It’s smooth, hard surface is of course great for any high-wear surface.
