Build Winding Sticks with Handtools

Build one of the most valuable tools in a woodshop

In this course we will create a pair of winding sticks. Winding sticks are used to detect wind, or twist, in a board, with great accuracy. Whether you mill stock with machines or hand tools, or buy S4S lumber, you must be able to determine if a board is flat before you begin a project. Winding sticks are the tool for the job. 

We will build a pair of winding sticks using only hand tools. Tools and material are provided. If you wish to bring your own tools, you may do so.
